Whitecap Resources has kicked off the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation Radiothon For Life
Campaign with a major donation of $10,000. This donation will officially start off the fundraising initiatives of the foundation’s annual radiothon set to take place Wednesday, June 7, 2023 from 7a.m. to 7 p.m. live on Sun 102 FM, Rock 106 FM and CJ1150 AM.
The St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation is very grateful for the generous donation. “We are incredibly thankful for the donation from Whitecap Resources to kick off our Radiothon For Life campaign. They have been an annual supporter of our radiothon and we are excited to have an opportunity to truly acknowledge the support they give our hospital. Our radiothon funds much needed medical equipment for our hospital and with the help of this donation, we are off to a great start”, said Executive Director of St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation, Lori Gervais.

Our hospital is vital for Estevan and the surrounding southeast communities that we serve and we are proud to support St. Joseph’s Hospital again this year,” said Superintendent Jim Larter, Whitecap Resources.
This year’s Radiothon for Life will be at St. Joseph’s Hospital, with tents set up outside of the Long Term Care entrance. “We are very excited to be back at the hospital again this year. Having the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital getting involved is very important to us and we are also looking forward to bringing more activities such as bouncy castles and a supper fundraiser to this year’s event,” says Gervais.
Southern Plains Co-op is also signed up to support a community barbecue on Radiothon Day. Hotdogs and hamburgers will be available, all free with a donation at the St. Joseph’s Hospital parking lot. With the time change of radiothon, this allows Co-op to offer two barbecues this year. One over the lunch hour and another for supper later that evening.
Proceeds from this year’s fundraiser will support upgrades to the Emergency Department. Upgrades will include facility improvements and new medical equipment. “The Emergency Department is crucial to our hospital and the health of our community and we are looking forward to partnering with St. Joseph’s Hospital to upgrade this very important unit,” said Gervais.
The Radiothon For Life is an annual event hosted by St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation that has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support the funding of medical equipment at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
